I was looking for a simple, resilient DAC dongle for in the gym and general use and decided to try the Moondrop Echo.No regrets!Excellent build, excellent value, very, very good sound for a simple DAC dongle.Well-balanced sound with clear, not overly pronounced treble, lovely rounded bass (not woolly) and good stereo imaging.Vocals are forward sounding, but instrumental details are well defined. As yet, I have not experienced any listening fatigue.Loses a point as does not have the same super detailed definition or depth of bass as a high end DAC.However, for the price, it is an excellent choice for in the gym or general use -also due to its tight fit and solid build.Highly recommended!NB: Am listening on 1More Quads and Oriveti 400s.I also bought the Moondrop Dawn Pro Portable for longer listening sessions - which has a slightly more detailed sound and less forward, more detailed vocals. Read my review there coming soon : )

This is exactly what I was looking for my IEM’s whether it’s at the gym or doing chores without draining the battery like some dongles out there. It works well with my iPhone 14 very well. Sound is smooth yet powerful enough with deep and detailed bass extension without sounding harsh. Top end definition may not be its strong point but what more can you ask for at this price range?

Does it replace your desktop dac and amp? Does it replace your audio player? No, and no. But does it do the job making your Type C phone capable of outputting some music? Yes. I use the moondrop 2 IEM and it’s not delivering of its full potential, but it’s better than nothing when you don’t have the option of others. Side-note: plug it all the way in, give it a firm push.

Works great. No noise. Sounds like all good DACs. Really good power output. Solid build. Would buy again.

Was going to use this to move away from the logitech adapter I currently have this plugged into, but after plugging this into the USB-C port on my motherboard the sound quality is... significantly worse.I'm running the TRUTHEAR x Crinacle Zero's as my first IEMs so maybe this is a beginners error, but it's bizarre how much worse these sound.

The sound quality was decent, but I didn't find the clarity to be exceptional and I expected more from a name like Moondrop. The signal-to-noise ratio was atrocious. With my sensitive earbuds, there was an audible hiss that was even louder than the built-in DAC in my laptop.
