It does most of its job, the instructions are not the clearest I've ever seen but there are enough tutorial videos on youtube using similar products... enough to figure out all the assembly tricks.It'll still let a piece or two of random shavings through to the vacuum but nothing major. I'll try to "repair" that by putting a rough mesh on the top exhaust, but it's not something major or urgent at all. Though I'd imagine that, if used with a proper 1200+ watts vacuum, it wouldn't be able to hold much of the dust down as intended.

I use this with my shopvac and saws/sanders to take some of the load off my vacuum's filter and save money/waste in terms of replacement filter bags. I set it up with a cheap plastic bucket and lid from a big-box hardware store and it works great. One thing to keep in mind, though, is you really need 2 buckets - with just one, the suction from my shopvac causes the walls of the bucket to collapse inwards (you're not losing ANY suction with this unit, trust me), but if you put the bucket inside a second identical one, the combined thickness is enough to keep the walls of the inner bucket from deforming. You'll also need a second pipe - your shopvac hose connects to the top of the unit, but you also need a second hose to run out to your tool. Installation was pretty simple. Use the included gasket's inner ring to mark a hole in the lid of your bucket and where to drill the 4 bolt-holes. Use a carpet knife or Dremel to cut out the small hole in the lid, put the gasket in place, then bolt the cyclone unit to the top of the lid (nuts/bolts/washers are included). That's it, hook up your hoses and you're good to go. For storage, you can flip the lid upside down so the cyclone unit is protected inside the bucket. It doesn't remove 100 per cent of the dust and some will definitely reach your vacuum and its filter, but it's a fraction of what would end up in the vacuum otherwise. It's amazing how much dust accumulates in the bottom of the bucket, and then you just empty it out. This dust-cyclone cost me about as much as a 3-pack of vacuum filters, so it paid for itself in saved filters within a couple of weeks. On a side-note, the seller was GREAT - there was a tear in the gasket when it arrived, and the vendor shipped me a replacement the next day, fantastic customer service. Highly recommend both the product and the seller.

Funziona bene. Ho un bidone aspiratutto e aspirando polveri sottili di cemento si intasava in un attimo. Ho applicato il ciclone su un secchio da pittura da 20 l. I tubi li ho dovuti adattare ma vedo che tutti hanno avuto lo stesso problema.Il bidone aspiratutto resta completamente vuoto mentre il secchio raccoglie tutto. Sono rimasto stupito perché le polveri di cemento sono tipo la farina.
