£48 at time of review (77mm)As I have a Diffusion 1 & a Diffusion 1/2 I shall review both together for easier comparison.If you’re here then you know what effect Diffusion filters add to your images so I won’t go into too much detail about that, apart from saying they add roll off to the extremes of your exposure, ie a bloom / glow to highlights, whilst lifting / reducing the density of the blacks (gives a sort of vintage lens look to your shots).In the past I’ve used 1/8 & 1/4 Diffusion filters mostly for video, once you get beyond 1/4 the effect becomes quite apparent so it becomes more of an effect than a subtle enhancement.As you’ll see from the example shots:A: no filterB: 1/2C: 1B: the over image has been softened, the focus is still there, but there’s an overall softness, the highlights have been smoothed out on the wires and the rings of the fan, whilst the really bright areas such as the window and the highlights of the cabinets have a bloom around them. Moving onto C, these highlights have become even more blown.Compared to my significantly more expensive Tiffen Filters these do a pretty good job, although I doubt I will use them to this extreme unless I’m going for an effect as I find anything above 1/4 too strong for my style of photography and videography, but if that’s the look you’re going for or need then you could save a lot of money over the Tiffen filters.Hope my review was helpful

Efeito incrível, bem intenso

I needed the 1/2 over the 1/4 one, at least this one is more prominent. Built very well, no complaints here, I mostly plan on using it for flower shots during spring and summer seasons.

K＆Fより安かったというか、このブラックミスト1/2がなかったためため、このメーカーから手頃なものがあって購入しました。程よいボケみが出て狙った感じになりました。1/4とかだと少しわかりにくいかもしれませんので、自分的にはちょうどよかった
