Leider muss ich hier eine klare Warnung aussprechen: Der OMMO Metalldetektor für Erwachsene hat mich tief enttäuscht – und schon nach wenigen Metern auf dem Feld in den Wahnsinn getrieben😤💸 Von der Qualität bis zur Funktionalität stimmt hier leider nichts.Die harte Realität – warum dieser Detektor scheitert:🚫 Zickzack-Signale & Dauergepiepe: Schon bei minimaler Bodenbewegung spielt das Gerät verrückt. Ob Steine, Alufolie oder nichts – es piept willkürlich, als wäre es kaputt. Die „Einstellungen“ ändern daran nichts! 🔇🌪️🚫 Billig verarbeitet: Das „robuste Metallgehäuse“ fühlt sich an wie Plastik aus der 1-Euro-Kiste. Der Griff wackelt, die Halterung für die Spule ist instabil. 💔🔧🚫 Tiefenangaben? Ein Witz! Laut Anzeige sollte ein 20cm tief vergrabener Testgegenstand erkannt werden. Ergebnis? Der Detektor schlug erst bei 5cm an – und das auch nur sporadisch. 🤡📉🚫 Akku-Laufzeit wie ein Durchschnitts-Handy von 2005: Nach knapp 1,5 Stunden war Schluss – dabei wurde eine „lange Laufzeit“ beworben. Und nein, ich hatte nicht vergessen, ihn aufzuladen! 🔋⏳Weitere Ärgernisse:🌧️ Kein Regen-Schutz: Schon leichte Feuchtigkeit lässt das Display verschwimmen. Für einen Outdoor-Detektor ein Unding!📜 Anleitung = Rätselheft: Die Übersetzung ins Deutsche scheint von Google Translate zu stammen. Fachbegriffe? Fehlanzeige! 🧩📖🤷 Kundenservice? Nicht existent! Nach drei E-Mails ohne Antwort gab ich auf. Die „2-Jahres-Garantie“ wirkt wie reine Augenwischerei. 📧🚷Fazit: Finger weg – Geld verbrennen wäre effizienter!

Funktioniert leider nur sporadisch.Zeigt des öfteren nix an. Sämtliche mentale probiert immer das selbe.

Great metal detector. Very easy to use. It is easy to carry it. It actually made me go out more, as now I am so interested if I will find something with it. I had some success finding some random bits, unfortunately nothing of the value. However the process of looking is the most important part.Great device.

This is a review of the OMMO Metal Detector. I have no previous experience of metal detectors but it is something I have always wanted to try. Having used this detector on an initial test around the back garden and then a proper outing in the local woods I can say that: a) This seems like a very good detector, and b) This particular pastime is not for me. Far too much effort involved.The detector feels like it is good quality. It took me less than 5 minutes to put together, and start testing it out. It has loads of settings and is actually quite complicated to use. You really need to have the manual with you to refer to, which is not very practical. If I was going to use this regularly, I think I’d make myself some handy laminated check cards – for example listing the ranges for the digital values that you see on the screen for different types of metal.On my trip to the woods, I found that the adjustable arm rest is essential. You need to get the length and angle right or your arm soon aches like hell. On my first outing, I was getting readings all over the place. Who knew that there is so much treasure in the woods? In fact, the only ‘valuable’ I found was a 2p piece. The rest was an assortment of nails and screws, a ring-pull and unidentifiable bits of rusty metal. I did try it in ‘jewellery mode’ but then I got no readings at all. Whenever you do get a reading there is a button called PP which is supposed to help you to home in on the exact spot, so that you don’t have to dig big holes all over the place. I am not sure how effective this was (maybe my user error), but it seems that real detectorists use a separate hand-held tool for this purpose.My big criticism of this product is that it uses 2 x 9V batteries, which are expensive and I am sure will not last very long. Why isn’t the control box rechargeable? If you buy this detector you would need to invest in a some rechargeable 9V batteries and a charger.
