Bag/CapacityI chose the Kazuma Print (Toffee) and I love it. The fabric feels great (patterned area is slick-ish) and sturdy and the pattern is beautiful and unique. No confusing my bag anymore in a sea of black backpacks.Coming from a few years using the N. Face Jester backpack with a VERY similar design. it's so close that as soon as I saw this new Astronova from Osprey I knew it would likely be an upgrade. I'll start with a brief comparison. Two issues with the Jester which caused me to look at this Osprey:1. My biggest problem with the Jester is that the front/top pouch flops around and when I'm traveling, especially on an airplane when it's a full pocket, all my stuff falls out. The size is a little smaller than the Jester (28 vs. 23L for the Osprey) but it's really the perfect size for day to day/campus and or personal item on an airplane. This bag fixes the problem by making the zipper is a little shorter and the pouch is a little deeper. Already it's a win for me.2. The water bottle pockets on the side of the Jester are a joke. Too wide, too short, and no grip. This causes every bottle I've tried to fall out all the time, even a 32oz stainless steel one. The Osprey pockets are deeper and 'grippier' mesh and so far have been fantastic. There aren't a ton of pockets or organization but the top pouch discussed above has pencil slots and organization and will work for daily usage...just don't expect briefcase-level organization. Keychain clip/lanyard is always good to have just in case... The main pocket is good, with a great laptop sleeve that easily fits a MacBook Air 13 M3 just fine (haven't met one that doesn't). Its spartan, but its gets the job done.ZippersThe zippers are sturdy and have no concerns about them. The zipper pulls (or as my son called them...dreads?), are awesome. The plastic part is big enough for your finger to fit right in and open/close the bag up quickly. I famously overstuff my bags and the zippers give me confidence to keep doing that.Back/StrapsStraps are wide and comfortable, again considering it's only a 23L bag. There's 4 lashing straps that can be used for carabiners or attaching other items. They're also thick and well sewn. There is another a strap for a light or reflector in case you're riding a bike. Not a use case for me but that strap seems to be plenty wide enough to accommodate nearly any setup you may have. You can see in my closeup pic of the straps that they LOOK small but they're only partially patterned, the rest if black so they're perfect width.Oh Osprey, you've outdone yourselves. Their AirScape technology is next-level backpack...it's a hard foam 'frame' with mesh covering it. When you wear the bag, the mesh and the thin foam rests against your back and feels like a normal bag but through some wizardry, the bag (unless heavily loaded) doesn't really touch your back. Your back can breathe! You'll still likely sweat but not like a normal bag and it won't start to stink if you're using it for years and don't wash it. I'm not kidding, this thing is crazy comfortable.Negatives:None yet. Only real 'miss' is that it doesn't have a chest strap. I get it, it's a smaller bag and made specifically for students so the chest strap would likely not be used and just be in the way. However, I love them for long durations of wearing a backpack. There are 3rd party accessories you could add if you want one...don't let it keep you from this bag, it's a winner!Ultimately, it's an Osprey bag and I also have a hiking bag and their running vest, both are awesome. Looking forward to to years of use out of this thing, its that good and that durable. Thanks Osprey!

This is a good quality backpack. The style and size seem geared towards school, with the main zippered area having a laptop pouch and room for books. The pouch fit my 15” laptop no problem. The other smaller zippered area has place for pencils, netting for phone and a clip for keys. The shoulder straps are comfortable and the back has venting and padding. There are water-bottle holder mesh on each side. The zippers are quality YKK and beefy with nice large rigid pull-rings. Overall, this is a really great backpack and I love the blue color.I measured the dimensions:20” tall x 13” wide. The width tapers from 7.5” wide at bottom to 2” wide at very top.

I’ve been using the Osprey Astronova Campus Laptop Backpack as my daily work bag and it's been fantastic. It's super lightweight (probably the lightest backpack I own) but the outer material doesn't feel flimsy or cheap. It comfortably fits my 16" MacBook pro laptop in the laptop sleeve, along with my chargers, notebooks, and jacket without feeling super bulky. The organization pockets are great—my laptop stays protected, and I have small pockets for all the random chargers and stuff I take with me to work. I like using this bag on my motorcycle too; the backpad design lets air flow so I don't get a sweaty back, the padding on the shoulder straps is ample, and the bag is lightweight so I don't really feel it on my commute. The bag will stay dry during a light drizzle, but anything more than that and it won't stay waterproof. The nice thing is that because the bag is so light, even when I throw on a waterproof shell it still doesn't feel too bulky. It's subtle and professional enough for office use but still stylish enough that I don’t feel like I'm lugging around a bulky work bag. So far, it’s holding up great with everyday use, and the build quality feels like it will last a long time.Highly recommend if you're looking for a reliable and practical backpack for work!

I really like this bag. It's extremely well made, and SO comfortable even for a 6ft, 300lb "big" dude. I think it would make a really good school bag, as the pockets are large and there is good laptop protection. I was hoping it would be my work travel go-bag, but unfortunately, it doesn't really have quiet the right amount of pockets for me. I like one more medium sized front compartment to store all my chargers/cables/powerbank, separate from the usual front compartment, where I put quick access stuff for flying. I wish it worked for me though. This is much, much more comfortable and better made than my current carhartt rucksack. Just needs one more pocket!
