Perler kraal pen

it broke after a week of use and i couldnt do anything to fix it

This is great for children. Very thick so they don't drop it easily. It's manual so you click the button and the perler comes out. Loading is easy. Just twist the top and load in your beads. My daughter thirteen and holding it in the photo. It can take a moment for the wheel to come back up to collect the next perler bead. Sometimes if you click the button to fast it will just shoot the bead out. Sometimes my kids tap it on the table to get the wheel to spin back to the top.

I bought 2 of these. One of them works flawlessly. The other one still works but the button/mechanism gets stuck about once every 4-5 beads so it ends up shooting out of the pen. I will still use it and it's still faster than hand placing but I definitely have a favorite of the two.

After opening and loading it up per the directions the pen will not release any beads. You can see through the clear casing that the internal spring on the release button is not opening fully after pressed. Therefore the mechanism that grabs and releases the beads does not return to the upright position in order to get the next bead from the chamber. I did some online research and appears this is a very common issue with these pens. Wish I did that research independent from Amazon before I made this purchase. My kid tore apart the packaging in her excitement so can’t even ask for a return. Don’t waste your money.

Bought this for my son because he really wanted a tool to speed up his perler projects but unfortunately this tool has the complete opposite effect. He used it once and was very disappointed. It kept getting clogged and the beads often fell sideways. On a positive note it shipped quickly and came in good condition.Overall this product needs to go back to the drawing board to work out the kinks so don't waste your money and just use the tweezers
