EDITED:26th December 2023...it does retain the heat for a good long while out of the oven (caught up in the ceremony, I forgot to take a timing!) and is easy to clean by hand, if dishwasher space is limited due to the size.Simply a dream of a dish.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Looking forward to a real family affair in a few days time ~ the only problem is finding the space to hide it until then (and pondering over where I am going to store it, thereafter)!It was straight into the dishwasher on release, ready for a festive after-dinner treat, when I can then confirm that it retains heat for up to 30 minutes and, afterwards, how tricky it is to remove burnt sugar remains, although it is advertised as ‘abrasion-resistant’ (image below refers).I have collected a large number of pie dishes from various manufacturers over the years and this one is simply stunning in a shiny, deep inky blue shade that is bordering on black. Imagine that mixed with...oh my, I feel another collection coming on!~ PEUGEOT~ APPOLIA~ 30 cmn.b.:~ NOT for direct heat sources, e.g. gas burner, electric hot plate, grill or induction~ Avoid thermal shock, i.e. do not place in cold water after removing from the oven'Made in France', the ceramic dish is a good weight in hand, but not overly so for its size, which is, on my measure:~ 35 cm wide overall including the handles, one of which is branded like all first class dishes are.~ The unglazed, external base diameter measures 28 cm; the inner top diameter is around 29.5 cm, allowing for the rounded finish fluting. The exterior edge is plain.~ Depth: around 4 cm~ Oven: 250°C~ Freezer: -20°CRather unceremoniously, it came simply presented in a cardboard wrap with the use & care details thereon, in a plain cardboard box.There is a touch of blue colouring on the external base of mine, but nothing that is likely to affect the performance.10 year guarantee (finer detail on the cardboard wrap)
