Sound quality isn't world class, isn't mega gentle on your records, does still skip sometimes, BUT.It costs a little over a fiver and it turned my turntable (not a crosley but uses the same tone-arm mechanism) into something usable. it went from skipping on every single song, having disgusting sound quality and chewing up records after 3 or 4 plays, to only skipping on very stressful songs (2 songs in a 12LP collection have minor difficulties), having (not stunning but) acceptable and noticeably better sound quality, and while the tracking force still measures 5.something grams, it will still be a little aggressive on your grooves but they're not going to be ruined, and the difference will only really be noticeable after maybe 50-100 playthroughs depending on the record/environment, and even then once it's not playing in mint condition, it still plays, not the end of the world.There are lots of gizmos which the internet reckons will make your crosley-style turntable better. this is main one, and the cheapest one. before you buy a slipmat/weight/cleaning set/replace your LPs or anything else, get this.

habe sie als ersatz für die grässliche plastiknadel die ab werk in meinen reloop spin turntable verbaut ist geholt und verwende sie zum scratchen. das klappt wunderbar.

I'm new to the LP/Vinyl scene so before I invest too much, I got a cheap record player second hand. I wasn't sure how sharp the needle on there was. Luckily, it was one of these "red plastic" style ones, so I got a pack of 3 at what seems to be a good price.I only tried the old needle on an old vinyl just in case, as I didn't want it knackering any of my good vinyl, but the difference between using the old needle that was already on the player and a new one of these was like night and day. Very glad I bought them. A few quid buying these could potentially have saved a lot of money in knackered records had I not replaced the old needle.
