I bought this so I could find the difference of tension between spokes. But after a while I wanted to know how accurate it actually is so I build a solid (steel) rig to measure spoke tension and calibrate the tool. I used the spoke that I was about to use for my next wheelset and discovered that is was acctually spot on!! I use it for a while now , the only 2 things I think are not good about it is that the arrow shaped pointer came loose , so had tot tighten it (not a big deal) And when using is it sometimes needs a bit of wiggling to read it correct instead of direct perfect reading. But once you know it you can use this tool pretty accurate. I would say perfect for starters and/or for people who do this for themselves or small numbers. added is a picture of the rig I build. I use the spoke tension meter for lightweight High end wheelsets (carbon/aluminium 1100-1500 grams range) so it has to be right and till now it works fine for me!

I am by no means a professional wheelbuilder, but have built two-three wheelsets and renovated and trued a couple of wheels more. I don't rely only on this tool, and since I have absolute no musical ears, I am reluctant to rely on checking tension by tune, even with app.I am not sure about whether the calibration of the tool is absolutely correct. Probably not. But I rely on it to check whether spoke tension is in the right ballpark, and particularly that spoke tension is reasonably even. I found it very useful when replacing several spokes in an old wheel, as it was quick and simple to bring spokes up to roughly the same tension, and start trueing from there.If you are building or truing wheels now and then, this is highly recommended. If you are an expert, you probably have that feeling in your fingers, or perhaps want tools with a brand name. For me, this is perfect.

Épatant. Simple, solide et RÉGLABLE. Il y a sur le ressort côté dépourvu d'écritures une petite vis qui permet d'ajuster précisément le référentiel de tension du ressort.On vérifie et ajuste si besoin selon d'autres roues ou rayons, selon un appareil calibré, et youpi. Evidemment il ne vaut pas la précision d'un appareil électronique professionnel façon Tour de France - quoique- mais il est sans pile - toujours ça de moins en frais et pannes- et toujours négatif aux contrôles...

La verdad es que estaba buscando una herramienta similar a la de la marca azul PT y su modelo TM-1. Pero no quería gastarme 70€ ya que solo pretendía hacerme una idea de como tenía la rueda.Pues es exactamente la misma que la de la marca azul PT pero por menos de la mitad del precio, solo le han cambiado el color para disimular :DDe hecho las instrucciones y la tabla de conversiones es una copia palabra por palabra de la de PT.Eso hace que puedas usar la app de PT, que es lo mejor a la hora de usar el tensiómetro.La gente que se queja de que cada vez te da una medida diferente probablemente es porque no lo sabe usar.Claro te puede variar ligeramente la lectura porque no siempre colocas la herramienta en el mismo punto del radio, pero se te va a ir de 0.5 o 1 punto, cosa que no tiene importancia ya que al final lo importante es que todos los valores estén dentro de la media de todos los radios de ese mismo lado +- 20%.Para usar debidamente la herramienta debes saber como funciona la tensión de todos los radios de la rueda. Lo mejor es mirar el tutorial de la app de PT que tienen en youtube.Lo dicho, la herramienta 100% recomendable ya que es la misma que la de la marca azul pero camuflada con otros colores.
