I had never used a CO2 inflator prior to ordering Pro Bike Tool's, and just finished testing it at home on a sacrificial CO2 canister. It worked perfectly. It's intuitive to use, and I definitely prefer this method of controlling the flow of gas with a lever versus pressing directly against the valve. Being able to reduce/stop the gas flow is useful, enabling one to check for a pinched tube before committing 100%. The unit as a whole appears durable, with zero plastic parts, and the threaded connections to the canister and to the valve turn smoothly. I detected no leakage from any of the threaded connections or from the flow-control end, but it ships with an extra O-ring just in case. After inflating, I suggest allowing the valve/inflator threads to warm up a bit before unscrewing the inflator, just to avoid breaking any delicate parts. For anyone curious:inflator = 23 gramsinflator + CO2 canister + sleeve = 85 grams

Not something I plan to use often but it's a "must have" lightweight and space saving piece of kit that you won't even notice in a pocket or stashed away in a saddle pack. Well made with a nice finish to it, having had a trial run with it at the expense of a 16g canister i'm more than happy that when called upon to be used, it will do exactly what it is supposed to do and quickly.Great service too, something that goes far further than an innertube these days!

I bought this with my eyes wide shut, simply thinking that my wrists were painful enough just riding the bike (old injuries), without struggling to use a pump. I didn't know that CO2 permeates through the tube and tyre and that you lose pressure constantly, so didn't realise this is mainly for use when you are out and about and are fixing a puncture/replacing a tube, just to get you home so to speak. However, now I know its intended use I can categorically state that it is superb at its job and can highly recommend it. I've been cycling for decades and have always been prone to punctures, in my bike tyres mainly but elsewhere on occasion I have to admit. There's something very pleasing about being able to inflate your newly mended tube/tyre in 2 or 3 seconds, instead of having to faff about with a silly little pump (I don't care how good you think your mini pump is, it's crap, they all are, I've spent a small fortune on the sh122y little things). This co2 gadgy will ease the process of fixing your tyre fault and getting you home easily. Once you are home I recommend deflating the tyre completely and using a decent pump (12v, available on Amazon) to refill it with air., It will hold pressure as normal then. One last thing I must mention, the first one of these I ordered was a bit stiff to operate, I found it hard to turn the little lever. So, I emailed the seller with a simple enquiry as to whether this was normal, expecting to be told that I should put a spot of oil somewhere or other, (easy tiger). But no, much to my surprise and delight I received a replacement the next day, not just the valve but the entire product. the replacement was much easier for me to operate the little lever, so did the trick, can't ask more that that can I? The first on was just bad luck, one of those things, but the second was everything the reviews I'd read lead me to expect.I recommend this. Bigtime.
