Très belle maquette

Apparently this mold is from the 70s if that's possible. As a result the surfaces lack detail. Lots of flash, bleed and injection marks. You will spend as much time filing and sanding as assembly.Design wise the fit is decent. Cockpit lacks detail. I'm only halfway through and I have some concerns about the folding wings. We shall see.I am using it as a way to improve painting and weathering techniques before I spend some real money on the Tamika version.

The original 1:32 class of kits released by Revell in the late 70's reboxed for the next generation to bash. This here kit is pretty basic and inaccurate when compared to Trumpeter and the likes who do 1:32 F4U. For the money it's a bargain though as you get a large chunk of plastic for your money that can be turned into a very nice kit with major work or even minimal efforts.Raised panel lines and a basic cockpit and landing gear can, if so wished, be replaced with more modern aftermarket parts and the panel lines can be scribed out also. a little extra wiring in the engine bay can make all the difference for display.I have a few of these kits and have yet to build one but one I bought for a friend has been a success as he is a huge F4U fan and loved his.
