I didn’t read the type of thread in the kit. It’s wool, so it frays fairly easy, but I like the look of it for the pattern. I haven’t finished it yet but it seems to be easy enough for a beginner or intermediate cross-stitcher. I like the handiness of having everything in the kit and the colors are beautiful.
