These were a gift for my husband. They worked well in his birthday drink, but didn’t get used again until a family member injured themselves. They make an excellent ice pack for sports injuries because they don’t leak water when they melt. Good value for money as it has multiple uses. Also used underneath a salad bowl to keep it cool and fresh during outdoor dining.

Ho acquistato questo set di pietre refrigeranti principalmente per gustare gin tonic e cocktail senza l’effetto fastidioso dell’annacquamento, e devo dire che sono rimasta molto soddisfatta. La confezione include ben 8 “cubetti” in acciaio inox, una pinza per maneggiarli in sicurezza e una scatola in plastica per conservarli comodamente nel congelatore. Una dotazione davvero completa, perfetta sia per l’uso quotidiano che per le serate in compagnia.Dal punto di vista della funzionalità, niente da dire: i cubetti fanno esattamente ciò che promettono. Li tengo nel congelatore per qualche ora (di solito bastano 3-4 ore), e quando li uso mantengono la bevanda fredda a lungo, molto più di quanto mi aspettassi. E la cosa migliore? Non diluiscono minimamente il gusto, quindi si può davvero godere il sapore pieno del gin tonic o di qualsiasi altra bevanda.Un piccolo accorgimento da tenere a mente: essendo realizzati in acciaio, sono piuttosto pesanti, quindi meglio evitare di farli cadere nel bicchiere da grandi altezze. Per fortuna c’è una pinza in dotazione, che trovo comodissima e sicura per evitare incidenti – basta prenderci un po’ la mano.Per quanto riguarda la scatolina in plastica, è utilissima per tenere tutto in ordine nel freezer e isolare i cubetti dagli odori, ma purtroppo nel mio caso si è rotta dopo circa una settimana. Ammetto che è stata un po’ colpa mia: mi è caduta mentre prendevo i cubetti e si è incrinata. Nulla di tragico – i cubetti sono rimasti intatti e funzionano perfettamente – ma segnalo la cosa per completezza. Probabilmente con un po’ più di attenzione da parte mia non sarebbe successo.In conclusione, consiglio assolutamente questo set a chi ama gustarsi un drink ben freddo, senza compromessi sul sapore. Sono pratici, facili da lavare, resistenti (i cubetti sì, almeno!), e con un aspetto elegante che fa anche la sua figura quando si servono agli ospiti. L’unico punto da migliorare, forse, è la robustezza della confezione… o la mia manualità!
