I'm sure like everyone who is looking at this product we had a problem with our Westie where he would grab the post before we could get to it, and proceed to do his best to destroy it before we could wrestle it back off of himAs our front door is difficult to replace, we didn't want to drill holes into the wood to mount the protective box, so I bought a pack of 3M Command Clear Wire Hanger Hooks and used two of these at the top to hold the box in place, and gravity to hold the bottom of the box against the doorWorks fantastically and our dog now no longer really tries that hard to demolish the post as it arrives, and the added bonus is that we can easily remove the mail cage when we go away, so that any post that arrives doesn't get clogged up but can fall through the door as normalAll in all a great solution (*and we added some pads (left over from Ikea furniture) to stop the box denting any paint work if we _did_ open the door too far :) )Hooks for reference

This works and is what I hoped for, except it’s not white, it’s gray.

I struggled with screwing it onto my door because the screw points are wire loops on the inside of the basket. Also the fit is very tight over the letter box slot. Sometimes the flap jams open. It clips closed firmly.Sometimes the weekend papers wont go all the way in. Could be deeper. Works ok
