I was interested in the concept of a sleeping bag liner that you can easily wash, and use either on its own on hot nights or as an extra layer on cold nights. However, this liner turned out to be not only tricky to get in and out of, but too annoying to be inside as well. The product image makes the liner look far neater than reality, I figure the photographer taped it down and or straightened it out for the model. In the real world it is a loose, flappy, tangling, body sock. I tried it out on both a bed and a sleeping bag, with the same result. If you're camping in a swag or stretcher tent where you can't stand inside, you probably don't want to horizontally put a sock on your body each time you get in bed or take it off to go pee. You're also unlikely to neatly (re)lay out the liner and carefully enter it in those circumstances, even if it wasn't prone to tangle regardless.I particularly regretted buying the "with Pillowcase" version that happened to be cheaper at the time, since if you don't put a pillow in it you end up with this extra, loose flap of material around your head. The second opening also means you have to figure out which end is which sometimes, e.g. in the dark. You might ask "why don't you just put a pillow in it", to which I'd say that would make it even trickier to get in and out of the "sock" part.I would only consider using this if you have to sleep in a dirty bed or something, and even then the chances are that you'll wake up with it tangled and no longer acting as a barrier anyway. If you can carry a quilt cover, just use one of those instead.

I bought this as it's required in the rifugios in the Dolomites. Since I had to carry it whilst backpacking 100km, I was glad it was so light. The best part is the built-in pillowcase. That worked great for constructing my own pillow. I imagine it will work great as a sleeping bag liner, as well. The material seems sturdy, and it has a flap providing for a collar at the neck, too. It's not the mummy version, so it allows for ample leg movement, albeit extraneous material for mummy bag use. This is really more of an ultralight youth hostel or rifugio type liner. If weight isn't a concern, I'd opt for heavier material as it seems it would be more protective in terms of sanitation.

Fabric is very, very thin. But because it doesn't open up at the sides it is extremely hard to get in and out of. Which is a giant pain when you need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. There are slits on the side but they don't go down very far and there's no zipper. So you have to do this crazy squirming wiggle to get in and out of it, and because the fabric is so thin I'm constantly worried about tearing it. It also gets super wrinkly when washed and dried. Going to try to find something else. I have chronic hives so thought a liner might help me not react to the harsh hotel detergents on the sheets when I travel for work. This one isn't worth the hassle, and I gave it three trips before giving up.
