This is a 100% fraudulent product. It is sold as refurbished but you receive products with the original sticker. Seagate would only sell refurbished products with a factory recertified print, a sticker that looks completely different. I requested a refund immediately upon seeing this. DO NOT BUY THIS.

Purchased 4 of these 6 months ago. Looked fine, SMART data was clean but never really worked as expected, loud and occasionally made some strange noises.Read the heise articles recently about heavily used drives have been reinserted back into the supply chain with the SMART data falsified and how this could be confirmed by looking at the lower level FARM data. Sadly all 4 drives impacted.Two of the drives have failed in the last week or so.

Aggiornamento al 19 marzo 2024Ho testato i due dischi a fondo tramite un software specifico, e non presentano settori danneggiati. Li ho installati su un Nas Asustor e funzionano perfettamente in Raid 1.Sono più rumorosi rispetto ai classici hdd da nas, ma molto piú robusti e performanti.****Ho acquistato questo prodotto consapevole che, come chiaramente indicato nella descrizione, si tratta di un disco ricondizionato (non semplicemente "usato"). Ne ho acquistati due per un nas, entrambi seagate X16 da server. Si tratta di un disco abbastanza silenzioso (tranne nella fase di avvio e spegnimento) che hanno delle prestazioni eccellenti, circa 270/250 megabyte al secondo in lettura e scrittura, senza rallentamenti anche spostando decine di gb di dati.I due dischi sono arrivati imballati in maniera perfetta, sembrano nuovi perchè vengono rigenerati da un laboratorio specializzato con tanto di garanzia di 1 anno direttamente da Amazon.Entrambi i dischi funzionano perfettamente, sono prodotti nel 2020 e 2021, ho eseguito alcuni test veloci e sembrano perfettamente funzionanti.Attenzione! Non usate box esterni economici perché potrebbero non funzionare con questi dischi! O li collegate internamente, o usate box professionali almeno per testarli.Attualemente sono in test su un box OWC Mercury Elite Pro, poi verrano inseriti in un NAS e acquisterò almeno un altro di questi dischi per fare un raid 5. Il rapporto euro/Gb è eccellente!
