This is used to connect and disconnect wires for a Di2 12 speed. The wireless shifter generation. Do you need it? Maybe. I got it to update my shifters. The wires can be pulled out by hand, without the tool. Should you use it, probably. For me it was easier not to. I just used a long wire and connected it from the battery to the controls to do my update. I never used the tool.

ディレイラー買うと付属してますが出先のトラブル用に携帯用がもう一本ほしかったので追加購入。エレクトリックケーブルを工具なしで抜き差しすると折れて断線するのでこの工具が必須ですね。
