An interesting full length insole with elements of an orthotic and an insole for a distance or heavier runner, although this is for my various light shoes to heavy boots for walking. The fairly firm heel cradle has large cutout under the heel with a thick gel infill. The cradle continues to almost midway and includes arch support. Clear gel runs from the end of the heel cradle right to the front of the insole, thining as it gets to the toes to stop too much height loss in the toe box. I have the large size and that is a good fit in size 10 trainers and boots; my shoe size is about 9.5 and I have broad feet and low arches. The insoles don't feel as though they will need breaking in. Each week in pre-COVID times I would walk 5 to 7 miles with a walking group and, at least one additional walk of around 5 miles. However, the group walk has been stopped and my walks are less frequent. I can say say that beach sand tends to embed itself into the gel on the underside of the insoles.Update 16 SeptemberWalked 6km with these insoles in heavy walking shoes with running socks on concrete and some gravel paths, at 25 deg. C in the sun. A pleasant slightly bouncy feel, particularly if landing more on the heel. Pronation nicely controlled with a slightly modified gait. The insoles breathed well without being sweaty. I will swop them around between my various shoes and boots when going for a walk.
