Used with the appropriate crimping device, these connectors are a simple way terminate CAT3 four-conductor telephone wires with a male connector. I found that they work okay both with flat and round phone cables. With the round cables, however, the wires must be properly arranged for correct polarities before inserting them into these connector for crimping.Before making the connection, I strip about 1/4" of insulation off of the four wires, ensure that they're properly oriented and inserted into the plug then crimp. The connection is then solid and compact. These connectors are competitively priced.

Lovely things. Good quality and perfect for making patch and small phone cables. I had a UK phone here in Ireland that required three wires to work and not the standard two wires (the UK has its own strange standard having three wires for phones so I needed to connect a 1.8uf / 250v capacitor to simulate a 3rd wire). It worked great and thanks to these crimps I was able to do it and use my old phone device made for the UK here.
