I was skeptic at first, but opted to pay the extra money for it. I was not disappointed. This is an excellent saw cutting through wood really fast. It is pretty straight forward to use. At the end of the day it was definitely worth the money. It is definitely better at cutting wood on the dryer side, but I was able to slice through a young tree that had to be removed.Love the “outback” design.

I like everything about the performance, design and quality of this saw. It is a bit more expensive than the low end ones but worth every penny.The one thing that the manufacturer could do better in the user guide is explain that this is a pull-only saw and that pushing to cut your wood can bend your blade. Pulling takes less effort anyway and the user should never push, even if the blade gets stuck.The cutting ability of this saw is outstanding. The blade sharpness is first rate. The handle is comfortable to hold with good grip. The locking feature is solid.It takes only a few pull strokes to get through most branches and trees in the 1 to 2 inch diameter and a half dozen for things in the 3 to 5 inch.I am not totally surprised by this because I purchased their pocket-boy model about 15 years ago and always had it in my ATV and hunting pack to cut trees and branches. That saw is still cutting as well as the day I bought it and it has done a lot of cutting.I am so glad I added this bigger saw to my collection. It is easier to cut logs and trees in the 5 to 8 inch diameter than the pocketboy so I use it to clear fallen trees in the ATV trails while accessing the cabin or hunting.The value is totally worth it. Add this to your bushcraft tool kit and you will not regret it.
