I was hesitant to buy this because it seemed expensive but it cuts really well and comes in really handy. Worth every penny.

I already own quite a few silky saws, but wanted a pocketboy for convenience while exploring around my camp. This is the first Outback version I’ve bought. One thing I noticed is that the handle material is quite a lot heavier than the material of the regular version. So if you’re a weight weenie, you might want to buy the standard version. This performs great, as one would expect, but I’m not really sure that the price difference is justified. It is quite a bit more expensive than the standard model. Does it outperform the standard silky? Only time will tell… it certainly looks nicer, but I didn’t buy it for the looks. The bright color of the regular models may actually be better for when you are in dense forest. If you dropped this guy in a heavily forested area it would blend right in. The only real negative is the price. This is a buy once, cry once item, and if you learn to use it properly, it will last you a very long time.

Si estás dudando para el campo entre esta y la gomboy o una versión ligeramente más larga, elige esta. Tiene una hoja de sobra larga para cortar troncos de roble de hasta 15 cm con una facilidad (que eso ya es un tronco, no una rama)... Llevando una más larga solo es un extra de peso, no vas a tener que cortar nada más ancho seguramente y tienes un riesgo mayor de romper la punta de la hoja, ya que al ser tan dura es sensible a flexionarse y se rompería si se te engancha la punta al ir cortando.Si, corta MUCHO mejor que una sierra mucho más barata del mismo tamaño de marca rara, los dientes están perfectamente afilados y no pierden su filo (incluso cuando accidentalmente serré un clavo en la madera).El recubrimiento que tiene evita que notes la más mínima resistencia en los laterales de la sierra al cortar, y para el corte no tienes que hacer ninguna fuerza hacia abajo, solo con mover el brazo la propia sierra va mordiendo de sobra.Deja un corte limpio al tener doble diente bien formado, no deja bordes astillados o corte áspero.
