I wanted to add storage to my mini Proxmox server. I had 4 unused SATA ports but not much drive space, so this was perfect. I installed 4 2TB SATA M.2 sticks, mounted the adapter, hooked up the SATA cables (4 were included) and was golden. The longest part of the install was getting my fingers into the tight space to plug the cables into the motherboard. I brought my Proxmox server back up and created a ZFS storage pool with the 4 new SSDs.If I was going to ding it for anything, it would be that the SATA ports on the back of the adapter are not labelled. When one of the SSDs dies, I am going to have a tough time knowing whether port 1 is the top or bottom connector, for example. To further complicate my situation, the serial numbers of the SSDs that the operating system reports do not match any of the numbers printed on the M.2 sticks. D'oh!Note to the person who gave this 1 star because it does not work with Samsung EVO M.2 SSDs: your ignorance of the difference between SATA M.2 and NVMe M.2 does not make this a bad product. It clearly says for SATA M.2. They are different technologies that are just in the same form factor (M.2).

Bonjour,Produit faisant parfaitement l'affaire car j'ai pu y mettre un SSD M2 NVME + un SSD M2 SATA.Alors il faut bien faire gaffe, cette carte a besoin de 4 lignes PCI Express pour fonctionner (format x4). Vous pouvez le brancher sur un PCI x16 mais ce sera en pure perte puisque 4 lignes seront utilisées sur les 16 dispos.Des Leds servent à indiquer l'état de fonctionnement des SSD (une led par SSD + une led d'activité pour le SSD SATA).En tout cas ce produit fait le job et c'est bien l'essentiel.🐍 Le Mamba Noir 🐍

Works perfectly with my Samsung 960 Evo 250GB with no dips in performance. Also having the feature of adding an additional SATA M.2 SSD is nice and something I plan on doing.I am running this on a Z97 system and I got a friend to test it on his Z270 system and we got near identical scores.

Connected this Silverstone SST-ECM21 to a 1TB Samsung 970 EVO, slotted it into my Mac Pro (5,1), formatted the drive, and it just worked - at crazy fast speed. What's not to love about that?

C'est une carte très simple qui permet d'ajouter un port M2 à une carte mère ancienne. Aucune intelligence du côté de la carte, juste du routage vers le port PCI Express.Du coup la compatibilité ou non de votre périphérique viendra du support de la Carte mère.PS : Si vous achetez un disque au format M2, prenez bien un disque supportant le PCIExpress comme le Corsair MP510 ou son équivalent Samsung, les modèles SATA n'iront pas aussi vite et seront bridés par la norme SATA.
