Great tool to cultivate the top layer of soil around delicate plants. It is very well balanced and requires little effort. The tool arrived in 24 hours brilliantly packed.

This was purchased mainly for one problem we have, low growing weeds with like tiny balls on the end of the tiny stems - once they start they get literally everywhere in the garden.This little tool made short work of scraping up this weed, especially between the onions and some African Marigolds we have.It does have a very sharp edge, so you need to be careful though.Being made of stainless steel it will last for years and years with the minimum of maintenance.We have few tools in the Spear & Jackson Kew Gardens range and all of them can only be described as both well made and top quality, Kew Gardens wouldn't put their name to anything less than perfect for the job, this means you can buy any of the range with confidence.I can highly recomment this brilliant little tool, so 5 stars from me !

Bought 'cause I wanted a trowel with a long reach to dig a bit deeper aound weeds and such. This is absolutely perfect, exaxtly what I wanted, and is standing up to heavy use with no problems. Very pleased with the sturdiness & high quality. Also bought the matching fork, also perfect. Plan to buy another set while they're still available as we use them a lot.
