Spear & Jackson 🇬🇧Valuable tools after sharpening hand saw teeth they to be set to proper pitch in order for saw to perform properly whether it’s a rip saw or cross cut saw even a tenon saw / backsaw

Sturdy set and does the job well, good value for money. If you wanna use it for dovetail saws you need to grind the anvil , which I’m sure you’ll find a lot of videos on YouTube on how to do it.I did that and it worked well for my 15 tpi saw

Does not reach the base of the tooth...only grabs the very top which is not sufficient for proper setting.
