Very good saw for its purpose. This saw is a tenon saw or a flush-cut saw. It means that the teeth are not wider than the blade. Using my other miter saw, I destroyed both sides of the slot of my plastic miter block because the teeth protrude on both side of the blade. So, I decided to make a cherry hardwood miter block that also destroyed the slot.I decided to make another miter block in plywood when I figured out what I wrote above was the saw then I searched for a quality miter saw. This saw is of great quality. The blade cut well but not as well as my other miter saw that I will never use with a miter block, destroying it. The irony is why they sell them as miter saw. Maybe to sell more miter blocks. Keep in mind that you still have to be careful to cut aligning with the slot of the miter block. In the long run, even this saw could damage the miter block if you are not careful but unlike a non flush-cut saw, not on the first cut. The more cut I made with my other saw, the miter block was more damage and the cut less precise, in fact awful.I tried it on a block of cherry hardwood and the cut was very precise and the cut still fast. On this, I would give 6 stars because of all the frustration of the unprecise cut I made with my other miter saw that should not be called a miter saw. Try to make a precise cut with the slot becoming larger with only a few cut using my other saw.A reviewer said that I can slide the blade on my finger which is true but only on one side. Knowing the purpose of the blade, there is no problem with the saw. He said that the blade get stuck but he was cutting Douglass. I am wondering if it was not a fresh tree. It didn't get stuck with the testing I made but my more aggressive one used to get stuck which is normal. If it happens with this saw, I will change the cut angle, no problem with this. It happens depending of the humidity and the hardness of the wood. If a saw get stuck, change of the angle.Conclusion; If you need a more aggressive saw to cut faster like my other one, don't use it on a miter block. If you need a precision cut saw, it works very good and fast enough. You can also use this saw without a miter block to have a cleaner cut. Hint; put a straight piece of wood on the blade, if you see the light, it is an aggressive saw if not, it is a flush-cut or a tenon saw. French speaking, I am not sorry for my English.

Tenía más de 15 años sin hacer cortes a mano , me he dado gusto con este serrucho. Corta muy bien perpendicular e inclusive a lo largo de la fibra . La costilla es rebusta y da buena firmeza a la hoja durante el corte . La empuñadura es ergonómica, le quita elegancia al serrucho, pero hace el trabajo .Muy buena adquisición.

Good, stiff saw for making straight and square cuts. The packaging serves as a blade protector for storage. Straight line cuts are easy. Square cuts through thick material are dependant on experience/skill level. For dedicated woodworking, it's 1/15 the cost of a Cosman, so not fair to compare.
