Piccola premessa, non sono un professionista e ho poca esperienza di saldatura TIG, prima usavo una saldatrice con innesco lift. La macchina è arrivata prima del previsto con un'imballo ottimo, nella confezione ho trovato i cavi di pinza e massa di grande sezione e molto lunghi, la torcia tig è di ottima fattura con un cavo lungo oltre sei metri, il pedale è interamente in metallo con cavi lunghi come il cavo della torcia , sul pedale si può impostare la corrente massima per mezzo di un potenziometro laterale inoltre il pedale può comandare l'innesco collegando il connettore a due poli al posto di quello della torcia, l'incremento di corrente col pedale richiede l'abilitazione con l'interruttore in basso a destra. La macchina sembra costruita molto bene, non so se la componentistica interna sia all'altezza ma spero di si, uniche pecche sono le istruzioni, molto dettagliate per la sicurezza, molto scarse per il resto, sono comunque in italiano, il tubo del gas è in plastica trasparente piuttosto lungo ma molto rigido, direi che la qualità di questo non è allineata con il resto. Ho letto altre recensioni dove si dice che la macchina riporta delle specifiche gonfiate rispetto alla corrente massima, può essere ma 220 amper sono molti e per sfruttarli servirebbe comunque una fornitura enel di almeno 4500W, i connettori di uscita sono quelli piccoli, probabilmente con 220 A potrebbero avere problemi specialmente se non ben serrati ma vale quanto detto prima (forse a 220 A non arriva e comunque non li userò mai) personalmente sono contentissimo, la macchina è oltre le mie aspettative, considerato che ho pagato 729 euro compreso il pedale, in dotazione ho trovato anche un set di ugelli per la torcia, tre pinze di diversi diametri per gli elettrodi in tugsteno e un elettrodo universale, macchine di produzione italiana costano tre volte tanto, non so se in caso di guasto troverò l'assistenza ma prima di spendere una cifra uguale al prezzo di una macchina italiana devo bruciarne tre di queste. No so neppure se si possa alimentare con un generatore, non è specificato nel manuale, mi informerò prossimamente, per quanto mi riguarda mi sento di consigliarla senza dubbi, certo che chi non ha esperienza con una macchina tig deve giocarci un pò per prendere confidenza con i numerosi comandi. I have welded things big to small for 40+ years. Skidoo muflers to skidder arches and blades. The first 2 years in Germany I was often welding construction equipment. I am now a tennis court keeper (Platzwart) and wanted to proto-type tools. I needed to learn about welding aluminum.Because of the internet site of Stahwerk Schweissgeraete I invested 9 hours driving and 4 hours in their shop to return home with a CTM-416. The type of aluminum welding possible with such a machine is pulse MIG MAG. The quality of the welder unit and type of aluminum welding lead me to return the package most dissatisfied. I then did more studies of what I needed.If you watch learn videos on the internet about welding aluminum you will soon see that 90% or more are using a foot pedal to control the amperage of the welding process. Although advertised as an accessory for some Stahlwerk machines they did not actually have such a product.Stamos had this machine with a 8m cable to their foot pedal. A foot pedal will become your best friend when welding aluminum other than perhaps if you are welding boats or very long beads. The foot pedal is very well built and even has a control on it for the maximum welding current. I like this because I can make tweeks if needed at the place I am working. This machine has two inputs for the delivered pedal with 2 and 3 pin connections. From the pedal run 2 separate wires. The Stamos designers could have done this much better with one 5 conductor wire and two plugs so you may find it best to tape the two wires together.The heat control with TIG(Wig)AC welding and a foot pedal makes irregular welding material thickness and lengths so much easier than the MIG process. The S-ALU Pro leaves all your needed settings front and center for manual adjustment. No menus or fluff or broken touch displays here to worry about :-).Welding thin steel is also super easy with the foot pedal controlling the amperage!As a last comment I often make a first impression of power tools by the power cable that is supplied for the tool. Recent others were very questionable but what Stamos has delivered looks like this machine will likely out live me. Hats high to Stamos to produce this welder at this price level.
