Brilliant as my apartment suffers from cluster flies in the autumn,I put this up on top of a cupboard it also comes with a handy hang strap if you need this . Within the first week it caught dozens of flies and it’s also not that noisy unless a wasp flies in there which happened once and I could smell the burning but this is only if it catches a big insect. Looking forward to catching mosquitoes in the summer months. Comes with the spare tubes and a card reader for the tube that is non visable .

These things are never the fly magnet that you hope them to be but this one is the best I've had so far and its the only one on the market that is also a bit of a looker.It comes with 2 types of bulb + a spare for each. One is almost 100% on the uv-side of the spectrum, you can not really see it is working except with the included test card that changes color for a while when you hold it next to the lamp. The other is the more generic type you see usually, that is, its still partly in the visible light spectrum.The electrocution also works as advertised.

Mooie vormgeving. Wel volledig van kunststof, maar ziet er mooi strak uit.De lade onderin is gemakkelijk te verwijderen en schoon te maken.Wat betreft de werking, die is fenomenaal. De bovenste buis is "black light", onzichtbaar UV spectrum, nauwelijks te zien. Maar via bijgeleverd kaartje goed te controleren. De onderste buis is normaal blauw licht, in gedeeltelijk UV zichtbaar spectrum. De aantrekkingskracht is duidelijk… muggen, vliegen, motten, fruitvliegjes(!)…Krachtig spanningsrooster, stabiel, met kwaliteits electronica.Achterkant is te openen om de buuzen te vervangen en inwendig schoon te maken. 2 reservebuizen zijn meegeleverd.Conclusie: niet goedkoop, maar werkt boven verwachting en ziet er strak uit.

Ik was eerst een beetje sceptisch omdat er zoveel rommel wordt verkocht maar deze werkt echt. We hebben een grote kamer met veel ramen en dus veel licht. Onze oude vliegenlamp werkte overdag eigenlijk gewoon niet op een sporadische vlieg na. Maar met deze lamp van Geckoman vliegen ze er ook gewoon overdag in. Ik sta er best versteld want heb nog niet eerder een lamp gezien die zo effectief is. Hij is ook veel effectiever met het vangen van kleinere vliegen en ook enkele muggen heb ik al zien liggen. Top apparaat!

For the price the quality and product description doesn't match - 3 days 1x mosquito and it arrived with 1x defective bulb (good thing it comes with spares). All plastic and not as "clean" as the marketing material used to sell the device.Though I have to admit it is better then the tennis racket zappers as I didn't hear it zap the one mosquito it caught, so it is silent but not so effective.

I heard a few snapping sounds and believed it killed a few mosquito but the majority of them still find humans more attractive. We are still hunting mosquitos at night. Not effective tool at all and obviously it's emitting light so you cannot sleep with it on.

We have had our unit 3 months and it just stopped working! However, both bulbs had blown, putting in the spares it was back in action. Checking what to do and i see the specs for bulb life is 2,500hr which as ours has been on 24/7 is to be expected. It is a fact that 'special' spectrum fluorescents have relatively short lives and affordable LED just do not cut the mustard a these wavelengths.So that said our unit has done a fantastic job at a similar price as fly spray over that time. We have cluster flies in our old house which become zombie flies in the winter. Flying in your food, your tea, your face, into your monitor and then dying on your desk and all the window sills. This unit placed high in the landing/loft area has made a 90% reduction in annoying flies with most of them ending up in the fly tray which in peak time was overflowing once a week. Only downside is the zapping noise as they meet their maker and a baking smell from the fatter ones - our loft area is now the flies "The Green Mile" - haha!

I like this, since the summer has arrived ive been noticing more and more mosquitoes and other flying insects getting into my house from doors and such. I also have a pretty large patio garden which unfortunately also attracts mosquitoes. Outside is one thing but inside is unacceptable. I've been getting bit up while hanging out in my livingroom it was unbearable. I wanted a fly zapper but I didn't want something industrial and ugly. This one is great because not only does it work but it is stylish and looks like it belongs in the home. After just 1 day I noticed a great reduction in the flying insects that survive in the house. The brightness is like a soft blue glow its not super bright and obstructive. No install or tools needed just plug and play.

Attention : Contrairement aux idées reçues, les moustiques ne sont PAS attirés par la lumière ou les UV, mais par le CO₂ que vous dégagez en respirant. Cet appareil est donc totalement inefficace contre les moustiques, tout comme n'importe quel dispositif à lumière ou UV. C'est un fait scientifiquement prouvé, donc l'affirmation qu'il fonctionne sur les moustiques est fausse.Avis : Cet appareil fonctionne à merveille ! Dès sa mise en marche, il a commencé à électrocuter des moucherons. Au départ, j'étais sceptique en raison de la taille de la grille, mais même les plus petits insectes sont capturés sans problème. Son principal atout est le bruit émis lors de l'électrocution des insectes : il est nettement moins fort que sur tous les autres modèles que j’ai possédés. Ma chienne, qui réagissait vivement aux bruits des autres appareils (se levant, courant vers la source du son, voire aboyant), ne réagit plus du tout avec celui-ci. Le "clac" est toujours audible mais beaucoup moins "agressif", ce qui le rend bien plus agréable à utiliser.Conclusion : Je le recommande malgré un prix plus élevé que d'autres modèles, grâce à son efficacité et à son design, moins "industriel" que celui de la concurrence. Deux petits atouts appréciables : une carte incluse pour tester le bon fonctionnement des ampoules UV et la présence de deux ampoules de remplacement.
