As I haven’t started the kit yet, I was amazed at the early delivery. I opened the kit and read the instructions and I am eager to start.The online reviews and videos are very informative and would suggest that everyone thinking of buying this kit to check those out.

Mein erstes Tamiya Modell seit ca. 15 Jahren und ich bin begeistert ob der leicht verständlichen Anleitung, der sauber gegossenen Bauteile und, natürlich, des Antriebs. Von einem anderen Hersteller gibt es Ätzteile, die zum Aufbessern des Äußeren und Inneren des Mark IV Tanks geeignet sind. Ich habe meinem Tank noch Metallläufe für die 6 Pfünder und die Lewis MG's spendiert, sieht klasse aus. Takom bietet zwar ebenfalls ein super Modell des Mark IV und das zu einem günstigeren Preis, aber der besitzt keinen Motor. Mit einem zweiten Motor kann man das Tamiya Modell sicherlich R/C fähig machen, einen Baubericht findet man im Internet. Nun wartet mein Modell auf die Lackierung und ein ansprechendes Weathering.

This is an excellent model, not for the feint hearted though. The parts are well formed without and overflow plastic to have to trim. I have just completed the model and am about the weather it for placing in a diorama, so will not be using the motorised element. I have fitted the motor and associated components which all work and it drives a treat.This model is well worth purchasing but be aware that there are numerous fiddly bits which require attention and precision. The Tracks are made up of 174 individual parts that have to be painted and assembled and the running 'wheels' for the tracks some 320 pieces. Having said that they do not present any real problems just a fair bit of concentration.I wanted this model as I live in Lincoln where the original tank was conceived and built.
