The Real Latin Book: B-Flat Instruments: BB Instruments

The repertoire is excellent and the arrangements are good for intermediate to advanced players. Some of the other Latin Fakebooks have obscure Latin tunes that are not popular. This book has lots of Latin standards including some crossover and jazz adaptations of Latin American tunes.

This book is an excellent route into Latin music with something for everybody.Many songs are very old, some quite modern.Music from many countries.Great value

Excellent boleros

I bought this book for one tune, "Armando's Rhumba" that I needed in a hurry and thought would be quicker to buy along with several hundred others than transpose. Unfortunately it was not written in the key of the original recording (ie a tone above concert for Bb), and the tune was on page that could not be previewed beforehand. I don't know how many other tunes are not written in the "standard" keys, but be aware this might happen. That said, this book is an essential resource of latin tunes, well produced with excellent clear notation and at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

A great book but my copy has pages 49-64 missing - I only discovered this after the Amazon return policy had expired so please check yours when you get it
