Tim Miller Trio vol 3 Transcriptions

I am big fan of Tim Miller, he is influenced by Allan Holdsworth and maybe Mick Goodrick. You get lots of cool fusion chord progressions. His lines fit well into music notation. They can be notated as 8th, 16th, 32, or triplet notation instead of the typical play as many notes as possible in the measure . If you can't afford his video lessons this is great place to start. Lots of really cool examples at cheap price.

コンテンポラリー・ジャズ・ギタリストのアルバムをネット上でなんとなく探していたらティム・ミラーのスコア・ブックに出くわしてしまった。興奮しながら早速購入！商品が届き早速ページを開いてみると・・・アーティキュレーションが全く記載されていないではないか！つまり、譜面通りまともに弾くとフルピッキングすることになります。ティム・ミラーはレガート系のプレイヤーなのにこれでは完コピは無理である。まぁ、音源のスピードを落として耳コピしながら自分でアーティキュレーションを譜面に書き込めば何とかなるかもしれないが・・・。根性がある人はチャレンジしてみては？という訳で、一言で言えば不親切なスコア・ブックということになります。

The book is of high quality, but there is no indication as to where Tim uses legato on his notes. I seriously doubt that he could execute some of these lines without it, even on listening closely you can hear that legato has been used.It's not tabbed out as cleanly as Hal Leonard publications, especially where there are more complex rhythms involved.Still, it's a nice book to have and I look forward to seeing Tim's other Trio transcription books.

Best way to get good is to play along with the best. This is it.
