Almost did not buy it because of the bad reviews. But for the money I just took a chance. And I am glad I did !. It all fits perfectly. Also fits on the standard 1.5L and 2L bottles. And as for fitting it together , just PULL-BACK the circular plastic valve which lets the little balls retract and push onto the metal part and let go. Voilá it sits airtight. Have filled many bottles with it so it works fine. The only little cons is that the fitting is about 6mm instead of the standard 8mm which the hose attached to my co2-tank has. I just used some teflon tape to wrap around it about 2mm thick and tied it down with metal screwclamps. No more buying soda from the store...yeah !
