I didn't want to spend a lot of money on one of these as I probably won't use it that much. The main body is plastic which is OK but I would not put in the bottom of a toolbox to save being damaged. It is easy to use and will give you angle readings so therefore happy with this.

Seems accurate , is useful , and seems well made for the price : however , the battery tray is poorly designed - you need a stanley blade to prise it open and a retaining catch inside feels like it's about to break - also - the battery goes in upside down - without any visual indication

When set to 90 degrees via set Square the readout is not 90 degrees. When straight I.e 180 degrees on a set square edge not reading 180 degrees. Constantly setting up against known angles and zeroing.If 100% accuracy is required forget it.If the angle is OK being 2% out then great.

Building a structure over the pond to keep the rain out. It has to slope backwards to allow the rain to run off and i needed supports for the overhead beams. As these sloped, i needed to find the angle as these would be less than 90 degrees. Once you have set the angle you can transfer this to the other posts as it it quite stiff and remembers the angle. Even if it auto-powers off, the angle is still set. Perfect tool.
