I have two 4K monitors running at 60hz with this KVM.It works well. Only issue I've had is sometimes one of the screens will lose signal for a second and come back. no idea what is causing that.and yes, like any KVM you lose your windows positioning each time you switch. But that will happen with any KVM.I'd recommend this for those with two 4K monitors.

A new job provided me with a laptop and an ultrawide monitor for remote work. I already had a desktop gaming PC and an ultrawide with G-Sync and 120hz.I knew right away I'd need to find a way to be able to use both monitors and my accessories while quickly and conveniently switching between the two computers.I had never used a KVM before, and after some initial research I was a bit confused as to which one I'd need to be able to get the most out of the monitors. This one seemed to check all the boxes, but I'll admit it was a bit of a gamble as I was unsure it would actually work for my needs.Turns out it did! My setup is as follows: Alienware AW3420DW (120hz, G-Sync, 3440x1440), Dell P3421W (60hz, 3440x1440), Dell XPS 9570, and a custom-built gaming PC w/ an RTX 2080TI. All connected to this KVM with DisplayPort 1.4 cables. For the desktop, the DP cables go directly from the KVM to the 2080TI. For the laptop, the DP cables go from the KVM to a WAVLINK Thunderbolt 3 to Dual Displayport Adapter.I have a powered USB hub connected to the KVM with my keyboard, wireless mouse receiver, a microphone, and a webcam to share between the two computers.Everything works great together -- on my gaming PC I still have perfect G-Sync and 120hz for the Alienware monitor. Switching between the two computer works seamlessly. Maybe a little finicky every once in a while -- from time to time when I wake up my gaming PC from sleep, the keyboard does not turn on. Possibly something with my computer, as it doesn't seem to do it the laptop. Also, sometimes windows I had opened will reset positions when I switch from one to the other. However, these gripes are minor and/or infrequent enough that it does not detract at all from the amazing amount of convenience this setup provides.I do kind of wish it came with a remote, but not that big of a deal to me.Two notes:1) USE DISPLAYPORT 1.4 CABLES!! Just do it. Whatever your setup is or whether you think you need them or not, just save yourself some trouble and start out with 1.4s. I started out using DP1.2 cables for everything but the Alienware monitor to the gaming PC. It was just constant issues. Monitors randomly blacking out and then coming back on, one of the monitors had weird distortion when using the laptop, etc.All of that was fixed by switching over to all DP1.4 cables. If you have DP1.2 cables on hand, I guess give them a try, but if you have any issues or are buying cables along with the KVM I'd highly recommend spending the extra $1 or whatever on DP 1.4s.2) You will need two USB 2.0 B to A cables -- basically printer cables. Those go from the KVM to the computers to allow the keyboard/mouse/etc to switch between the two. I didn't realize it didn't come with them and did not have any on hand when first setting things up.All in all, I really like this KVM, and it does exactly what I needed it to do -- a no compromise way to switch between my personal computer and my work computer on the fly.
