Ukulele Christmas Classics: 12 Holiday Songs with Chords, Melodies, Tabs and Fingerpicking!

The arrangements are excellent and the choices are a delight. I highly recommend the book.I've been ply the banjolele just two years, picking it up during the first few months of the pandemic to challenge my brain and now I'm hooked.Played all the music with the first go through andyeo weeks later working to improve my skills.Don't hesitate if you want good Christmas arrangements, some challenges and a boat load of fun.

This could have been a great book and I would have given it 5 stars but one issue has rendered it almost useless for me. The Kindle version doesn’t seem to allow me to print the music off so that I can play from my music stand. I don’t want to be playing on my iPad mid song to get to page 2 etc. because I’m playing from my iPad. I understand that there are copyright issues, however, other music books don’t restrict the option to print. What a shame, I wasted £8.99. On the plus side I love the fact that it has a chord section, a finger picking section and the song lyrics.

There was some music I didn’t know. Now I can play. I like it a lot !

Thanks to Hache's series of books, we are now a musical family - and this is a perfect 'next' addition as we were all looking to expand our repertoire. Using the earlier books in this series, we have all already learned the basics of playing the Ukulele, as well as playing the drums (albeit my eldest only). We have learned to read music notation, tabs, and even to play A LITTLE by ear. But we are still quite amateur, and it's been hard for us to learn new songs from the internet, when not all the notation, or instruction is clear or uniform. So, we end up playing the same handful of songs far too often. This new book of Hache's is exactly what we've been waiting for - a whole new batch of tunes we can learn to play, sing along with, and practice on.It's the same great layout and patient, helpful comments that we've come to expect from the other books, and the songs are arranged from easiest to hardest, which is helpful too, and gives us all something to work forward toward. As always, we use these books along with FREQUENT visits to the Pierre Hache Music YouTube channel, and I am always sure to remind my kiddos of Pierre's 'comments, reminders and tips' - throughout the book - that are almost always so helpful. Each song has a particular challenge, and Pierre really helps you through them. He gets it. Makes learning music simple and digestible. In my opinion, that's rare among music teachers, and why we're so glad - once again - that we found this author, and his books.

Pierre has created a fun selection of 12 Holiday Song Favourites! Great choices for Beginner and Intermidiate players. Instructive and clearly arranged for those who like ChordvCharts, Musicians Notation or Tabulature. I am currently studying the usual notation system ie, note values using musical staff of lines and spaces. I am having a lot fun with this and encouraged by my progress.Lots of enjoyment with this Holiday selection of songs to play by yourself or share with friends and family.
