This is my third set of these lights and I absolutely love them. I have modified them by either gently trimming the post they come on so I have an interior tent light which in the picture I’ve taken I’ve removed the tent so you can see the lamp.In another project Ive also removed the post completely. Cut the cylinder at the bottom at an angle and rotated the bulb head. Glued back together and painted silver to make a sign post lamp in the ground.Finally ive also used them as a content creators camera and light for another camping scene and made a tripod out of cocktail sticks to complete the illusion. The lamps are wonderful. Yeah the wire can be fiddly as they are so very thin. But also that means I don’t have to drill such a big hole to hide the cable to the battery pack under the diorama. And yes the battery packs are purchased separately and I use ones from Amazon that take two AA batteries with a red and black wire protruding from the case.So yes these lamps are pretty much essential in my set ups and the fact that I’ve used them not just as street lamps but for other forms of lighting too. That for me is wonderful hence the 5 stars.
