The display is a ST7796S, but for micropython you need to use the ili9341 driver. Aside from that everything was easy to program and access. The picture quality is nice, and the touch seems responsive.

Ich nutze das kleine Display als Info Display für Home Assistant.Mit einem ESP32 hol ich mir die Daten und lasse so vom Zimmer aus Daten Anzeigen wie Klima, Stromverbrauch und welche Geräte an sind.Auch mein Drucker Steuer ich damit und lese Informationen aus. Es ist relativ Simpel damit etwas aufzubauen da es Online einige Librarys gibt die einem Helfen so etwas zu realisieren :)Das Display hat gute Blickwinkel so das man auch Seitlich was erkennen kann.

I really don't like writing negative reviews. But...Before I start, I was using this screen with a Raspberry Pi running Raspberry Pi OS Lite, so I do not know if that was the cause of my troubles. So keep that in mind as you read this.I bought this to use with a Raspberry Pi Zero running Raspberry Pi OS Lite, and out of the box the documentation was really not great. I wanted to connect it to the GPIO pins on the Pi, but finding this specific screen on Waveshare's website was extremely hard, as there are like 6 other screens that are the same resolution, capacitive touch, but look a little different.I ended up finding instructions on how to connect it by looking through clips of tutorials on Youtube Shorts untill I saw one with the same screen, and thank G-d the guy has a site that he linked a tutorial to.So I connected the pins, and... nothing, the backlight wouldn't even turn on.I can sum things up by saying that after at least 5 hours of work I had 2 ways of getting it to work:1) I could display pictures on screen by downloading Waveshare's LCD-show library, *and needing to modify it*2) I could use it as the regular display by downloading a driver that a very kind user on forums.rapsberrypi.com gave me.Notably, none of these options involve Waveshare's support team, as I unfortunately found that, although their response times were fairly quick (within 24 hours or less), I got absolutely no useful or helpful information from them over our large email thread.Therefore, it is with great sadness that I don't reccommend this screen to anybody at all.

Bislang ohne Probleme auf meinem Raspberry

Non-Vine customer here. LCD works great with ESP32S3. I was able to successfully run the Waveshare WIKI "3.5inch_Capacitive_Touch_LCD" Demo. However, I needed to set the "USB CDC On Boot" option as disabled. Also, the LovyanGFX library is working well with it too.
