You can power it either through the DC 5.5x2.1mm plug, or the screw terminals, and then still use the dc socket to pass through the power, (although not sure how much current is possible doing that). very small form factor, and the mounting holes are ideal for many different conditons.

If you need a really nice powered USB hub, this is a great choice. This USB hub has a metal casing that will better protect all the internal parts. It has plenty of ports for all the connections that I needed. This hub can easily be mounted under a desk, table or even on a wall since it has the mounting holes predrilled. It has indicator lights to identify which ports are being used.

The power and ground were labelled opposite to the board inside the enclosure. Powering the hub based on the enclosure kept blowing fuses. Opened up the case and the board inside had the reverse labelling, after switching the wires it worked fine.

Funktioniert, ohne extra Netzteil, wunderbar als Hub. Hab’s mit einem hochwertigen USB 3.1 Kabel male auf male an den Pc angeschlossen und dat Teil unten am Schreibtisch angeschraubt. Fällt dort null auf, also genau was ich brauchte. USB sticks, Festplatten, Maus, Taststur, Headset - funktioniert alles wunderbar. Ein Geschwindigkeitstest habe ich nicht gemacht.
