Waveshare ist kein unbekannter Name in der Makerszene. Es werden viele interessante Module und Sets angeboten. Dieses hier basiert auf dem bekannten ESP32-S3 Mikrocontroller. Dieser bietet ausgezeichneten Software Support für diverse Entwicklungsumgebungen (ESP IDF oder Arduino). Waveshare unterstützt darüber hinaus dieses konkrete Modul mit Informationen, Bibliotheken und Beispielen.Das Display ist zwar relativ klein, die Bildqualität und auch die Reaktion auf Toucheingaben sind für den gegebenen Preis sehr gut.Dieses Paket enthält kein Kameramodul. Da der Connector für Kameramodule aber vorhanden ist, kann man das leicht nachrüsten.Ich habe zwar noch kein geeignetes Projekt aber das Modul macht so schon Spaß. Vielleicht baue ich damit einen kleinen elektronischen Türspion.

Again with Waveshare making another great product. This time its the ESP32-S3 with 2inch touch screen. The screen is very clear and bright, very responsive to any touch input. I am, as usual, trying to tie this into home assistant, which I'm still working on. I have absolutely no doubt once I can get the display to work with HA, this thing will be gold. As per everything I've had Waveshare, the fit, form, and finish is top notch. If you have the means to get this up and running, you will be happy you got it!

The little display is quite nice for all sorts of applications, it's capacitive so it responds to the lightest of touches which is great for ease of use, and it's also quite bright. The included ESP32 microcontroller works well for WiFi applications too.
