Worthwhile piece of equipment if you are having to battle through stubborn earth. I have been using it with the recently discontinued Titan TTB280DRH. I think "Werhe" (I assume Chinese company with lovely German sounding trading name) are labelling these as "SDS HEX 30". If you have something like the aforementioned Titan that uses chisels with a 30mm hexagonal drive then this should drop straight in. Looks like a single piece casting which is then turned down on a lathe, hexagonal faces milled and then the large slot milled into one of the hexagonal faces. Very substantial piece of metal. I suspect it will last for years being used with a typical electric breaker. I'm not sure why spades like this are not more popular in the UK. Perhaps they will catch on in the coming years.

Ho preso questa pala da affiancare ad un martello pneumatico per scavare buche nel terreno. La terra dopo vari passaggi di macchine agricole è dura quasi come il cemento e mettere a dimora delle piante a mano è impensabile. Questa pala unità ad un martello di 43joules mi ha permesso di scavar 5 buche da quasi in metro di diametro e 70 centimetri di profondità in meno di 2 ore, senza sforzo e frantumando ogni sasso che incontravo durante l'operazione. Per intenderci per fare una buca simile a mano ( piccone, zappa e vanga) ci avevo impiegato almeno 5 ore e mi ero spaccato la schiena. Alla fine del lavoro, la pala non ha nemmeno un graffio, nonostante le numerose rocce durissime che ha frantumato. Onestamente all'inizio ero dubbioso se fosse stato o meno un buon acquisto dato il prezzo non proprio economico e non sapendo bene se avrebbe funzionato, ma per quanto mi riguarda si è già ripagata in due ore di lavoro.
