My students love this book! I use it inbetween primer 2 and 3, to really solidify the c major scale notes before moving on to harder concepts. I even used this book for some of my students not using this curriculum

Love all the VU books

I like the warm-up exercises in the front of the book which are more fun than usual scales, and the color pages. I would like to see it include some songs written in the higher and lower C octaves.

I love this book and all of the books in this series as repertoire books for students. My only complaint, if you could call it that, is that the author does not include all the rests at the early levels, which I think makes it hard to teach correct rhythm habits. But this is just my teaching style. My students love all these!
