I have under worktop lighting. I don't know if this particular strip heats up more than the others but everything I have tried lasts 3 days and the light drops down. I've tried gorilla tape, super strong glue, carpet tape, you name it I've tried it. I used this tape and a month later there are zero signs of it failing. I'm so pleased I finally found a product that works. It's easy to cut with kitchen Scissors and the backing comes off easily too...a little tricky to pull the first couple of millimetres off but then just glides off. Highly recommend. Strong and reliable
