Apparently, these work very well to protect your fingertips if you have to repeatedtly press a button or switch that is hard to operate. My daughter wears them on a plane that has a very hard to press intercom button. Her fingertip started hurting after several flights. She tried gloves, but they slip on the switch button, so she was looking for cushioning just for the fingertip that would not do that. These silicone protectors are the solution to her problem.

The largest size fits on my thumb, and the smallest fits my pinkie. The colors are OK. Your entire finger pad is not protected. Despite advertisements to the contrary, my fingertips DO sweat when wearing these, though less than with standard thimbles. They are great for flipping through lots of papers or money. Interesting product.
