I bought these little lavalier mic. windshields for a purpose other than shielding wind.I have a mini table-top tripod stand which I bought recently from Amazon, on top of which will be attached a Zoom H6 microphone/recorder. I noticed that the tripod stand had firm rubber feet (tips?) at the end of each leg, so I have stretched a foam rubber windshield over each one for additional acoustic decoupling from whatever surface the tripod is placed upon. I can confirm that they perform admirably in their new rôle.
