Xotic SL Drive

I've wanted this pedal for a long time! For me, it's the best Marshall in box in a mini pedal format. And with its different modes, I get more than one Marshall sound at my toe tips. Definitely value for money!

I like to use mini pedal's where I can as it frees up real estate on my board.. This pedal is very responsive . Small adjustments allow for Gain, volume and tone experimenting and dialing in. My only gripe is the toggle switch. I can hear no discernible difference as I toggle through the positions. Natural, Classic and Tight. However I'm getting what I want for a much better price than other higher rated pedal in it's class. Now I hear why so many people rated this so high. Count me in.

This really feels like an amp in a box, and a slim one at that. I own a Marshall Plexi, but it’s way too loud for my current needs, so it’s great to have that sound in a 5watt tube amp instead! Lots of headroom when used with 18V power. I usually keep the gain around 8:00 for that edge of breakup sound. Anything past 12:00 is too distorted for me, but it borders on fuzz and I know plenty of classic bands that have used that sound. Great pedal!

i bought this one after watching Simon McBride's pedalboard, its the perfect pedal because of its slim design, its narrow but tall also, and very sturdy, and the second reason is because it is a very nice addition to a Marshall amp, its distortion tone is very similar to a Marshall tube amp, it gives you endless ways of combining pedal and amp for different gain and volume levels, but thats a luxury you can't really do live because you would have to kneal down to do the tweaking...

Just the right amount of gain; in between the metal zone & tube screamer. Besides the default, liked the D.I.P's w 2 down, rest up. Also all 4 down in the 'Blackmore' setting works best.
