I purchased this style of flag pole with swivel flag holders about 4 years ago but from a different supplier. The first set lasted the four years outdoors on my dock where I display 3 heritage flags on two poles. Over time the swivels began to fail so I ordered this set. As to the sectional poles, they are identical to those I had before. The swivels are a synthetic material and so far I like them better than the metal ones on the prior set. The stands for the poles are also identical to those used before so for this season I can work with those already mounted. My area gets some pretty strong winds. In the past, these poles (one is set up at 6 feet and holds two flags) have not shown any problems with wind and with good swivels the lightweight small heritage flags will last into a second season (I put them out around May 1 when my boat is launched and put them back into storage in November when I winterize the boat). Thus far the new set seems to be fully identical to the old except for the different composition of the swivels.

Flys well on the beach in high constant wind. Is fragile when pushing in on the diameter axis. So be careful mounting.

It's a good flagpole. I have two, Canadian and Ontario flags on them . Bought them two years ago, and have had no real problems with them. I was originally concerned about the thinness of the poles, where i live ( North Shore, Lake Huron) the wind of the Lake especially can be brutal. The metal took it like a champ, and they are ready for a new flag when snow melts. I do recommend a longer screw for holding the base of the pole on your mount, but this is just me, i have no evidence of any kind the the supplied screws are not good enough. For those of you with tangled flags , make sure the hook up is not to tight, its designed to spin. I also, each spring and fall, add a drop of WD 40 to the bearings . We made it through the Ice storm of 2025, ( flags got damaged but that didn't surprise me, the wind was really bad) I did loose one of the Rotating Clips, the plastic hook snapped off. Must now buy a new one., but the poles are fantastic, not faded and easy to install/remove aftre 2 years. A very good buy!
