I have this amazing next door neighbor who has an incredible and amazing 7 year old son, who is funny, smart, incredibly curious and knows that when he grows up, he is going to be a mechanical engineer and make "better cars." So, it made perfect sense to me, when she asked if I could babysit from time to time, to buy a toy that we could play with that would help to support his dreams of becoming a mechanical engineer. (Watch out Tesla! Your time is limited!). Today, we opened the RacerZ Car Design box, (okay, so I went a bit overboard and bought several different boxes of Zoobs). Face it, when you are "babysitting" a 7 year old, you aren't babysitting so much as reverting back to childhood. Pixar Shorts in the background, (Thanks Amazon Video), we commenced to building. In less than 30 seconds, he had his first car. In that same time, I had attached a wheel to another piece! The design is brilliant! Seriously, the brightly colored bricks we all grew up snapping together, or, in the case of parents, stepping on, are great for little architects but Zoobs brings the whole engineering thing to a completely different level. No, you don't want to step on them, but they won't break and they don't hurt as much. Yes, you can buy all the different sets, they all work together. Yes, Zoobs will hold your child's attention for hours. These are fun for hours on end for almost any age- 6-106. Every child should have at least one, if not every Zoobs set out there! (Parents: Beware: Zoobs are very addictive- an entire afternoon can pass and you'll realize you haven't looked at your cell phone not even once!)

Bought for six year old boy. He loves it!Challenging enough design to keep him busy, but not too difficult that he loses interest.

Arrived early. Just what I wanted. Great fun for 6 year old.

My son gets bored easily but I am surprised he still plays with this toy over and over. At first my opinion of it wasn't good. He looked at the complicated models that came in the pamphlet and became frustrated and wanted me to make them. I tried for a few seconds and couldn't do it and gave up (okay I didn't try that hard but I was trying to watch a movie!). My husband was more patient and built a few of the models. It took him some time as you have to study the pictures closely to figure out how to do it. For a while this toy was annoying for us "mommy, daddy make this one----please! Well after the pamphlets were misplaced and after laying down the law that if he can't play without getting frustrated we would put the toy away he began to explore on his own. Then magic happened--he began making all sorts of self-invented vehicles. Now he plays for extended periods of time and proudly shows me his creations. I am impressed by the complexities of some of his vehicles. I guess you get better with so much practice. Now I love the toy! Another good toy my son loves is "super marble run". This one is another winner.
