As a standalone unit, the L8 can some pretty cool things. It was however my intent to use this an audio interface for my macbook pro as well, which runs Big Sur. I just can't get it to work in Logic or any other DAW.I've contacted support, which is in itself quite clunky as the support function lies with distributors across continents.The suggestions I received were all the steps I had already taken: update firmware, update driver, etc.Very disappointing. I was a fan of Zoom products having worked with the H4n for years.

Utilisée pour la sonorisation d'un duo pour les concerts, ce matos est parfait. Possesseur de la L12 un peu plus complète, celle-ci fait amplement le job.Retours avec réglages individuels, enregistrement piste à piste, égaliseur et compresseur assez précis ... Le tout avec des accès intuitifs, elle est un appareil sur lequel on peut compter sans se prendre la tête quand il y a tant d'autres choses à gérer.L'utilisateur de table "conventionnelle" pourrait être dérouté par le fait de n'avoir qu'une seule tranche de réglages qui sert à toutes les pistes et qui agit directement sur celle sélectionnée, tout étant parfaitement indiqué par les boutons éclairés ou les repères lumineux sur les potentiomètres.En bref, très bon matos que je conseille.

Llegó a tiempo, como siempre, y perfectamente embalado y protegido.El producto, es sencillamente, impresionante, todas las funciones que tiene y la calidad de construcción y de posibilidades, en un espacio tan reducido.La calidad de los previos, es muy buena, igualmente de los efectos que lleva.Funciona en Mac y PC, lo malo, es que NO funciona en Linux.Y la entrada de corriente o salida al ordenador, la veo un poco endeble, no se lo que durará..Por lo demás, Estoy muy satisfecho con la compra.Totalmente recomendable.

This is the second L8 I've come to own and it is absolutely outstanding. The first one unfortunately had all the status lights dead but it was returned and a fully functional unit was promptly delivered.I can't recommend this interface enough, there is almost NOTHING this thing can't do. The USB audio input allows you to loopback computer system sound so you can use Audacity or another audio editor to record VST ASIO low latency output with completely lossless quality. There is ZERO noise in the USB input.There's also a 3.5 mm input jack that is just about the most useful input on the whole board. You can connect radios, gramophones, digital pianos, guitar amplifiers, I mean, EVERYTHING to this jack and record it. There is some line noise, a bit more than what I would normally get using the Zoom H1n's 3.5 mm input jack but the noise is frankly negligible unless your an audio freak and want perfectly crystal clear sound at any volume (which you have to crank the volume obscenely to really hear the noise).Another unreasonably useful feature is the fact you can make different monitoring mixes for each of the 4 monitor outputs. This is especially useful if you use the interface as a microphone input for voice calls online. You can kill the USB input on the master mix (the one the computer is receiving when using the interface as the input device) but you can make it come through on Mix A, B, or C so you can still hear the computer's system sound without anyone else getting echoes (or you having to turn on echo cancellation which will kill your input as soon as the computer plays any sound, including people talking on the other end of the line).TRRS functionality is great as well, you can use this interface as the input microphone on a smartphone and get around having to deal with the phone's likely horrid microphone quality. This feature also allows you to record phone conversations or transmit them (like with radio broadcasting when you have someone call in on the show) in crystal clear quality. I've never used this feature myself but the possibilities with it are pretty much endless.If you're looking for an audio interface that allows you to route any sort of line input, or connect XLR microphones, or your computer's own system sound, into your recording workflow, this is THE interface to use. Zoom makes excellent products. If you get a defective unit, chances are it's a fluke, return it, get a replacement, it'll probably work flawlessly like this L8 did for me.
