I bought this for my son and when I asked him how it was he said it was greatHe was able to build the model in just a few hours but he had to buy the paints and paint it himself , keep in mind he is 13 years old and this is one of Al few models he has createdHe said this one model was a great success and he added it to his collections

Tough to find where to start with this sorry excuse for a kit.1. Beginning part of the instructions will result in a raptor that has a kink in its back at a very unsightly angle. You can do as I did and glue the top of the fuselage first but then you will have to use a lot of putty to fix the jet intakes that will not fit.2. The inside of the jet exhaust has enough detail but no care was taken to hide the gaps and you can see into the model.3. Jet intakes and weapon bays do not fit properly with the illusion disappearing as soon as you look more closely on the inside. Whole affair feels like I am kit-bashing and not like a proper kit that you pay 20 euro for.4. Paint scheme is a joke. Seemingly someone at Italeri thought that going with the F-16 Fighting Falcon colours would be enough to approximate the raptor. They should stop drinking at work. F-22 Raptor has RAM paint which is shimmery and very hard to replicate on a model but here no effort has been made.5. Decals are quite limited and not remotely complete for the airplane.6. The kit has quite a soft plastic. Anything else than Extra Thin cement will lead to tears. Even with the extra thin you will have to sand a lot of bubbled plastic.All in all a poor kit that can't even cut it as a desktop model. The difficulties to put together a good kit for the F-22 are probably why there are no good 1:72 kits.

Cet avion est décrit par ses utilisateurs comme le meilleur avion de chasse jamais construit. Il est vrai que son design "stealth" et son armement important en font un redoutable adversaire pour quiconque aurait l'idée de se mesurer à lui. C'est cependant une maquette d'un niveau moyen (maquettistes occasionnels et confirmés) et fidèle à l'originale que nous propose Italeri. Elle est déclinable en deux versions (USAF et Prototype). Elle n'a que deux petits défaults qui sont : 1.des entrées d'air qui ne sont pas taillés à la bonne taille et 2.deux emports d'armes qui sont vides sur les quatre proposés. Cette maquette reste toutefois agréable à monter et saura faire le bonheur des modélistes petits et grands.
