or wider tires, check to make sure you have sufficient clearance to install these. You need to be able to 1) fit BOTH hands and wrists between the top, outer edge of the tire and the fender wheel arch; 2) have enough room under the wheel arch/well that you can reach both hands' fingers/thumbs to the top, inner edge of the tire and 3) be able to rotate BOTH wrists a bit so that both index fingers and both thumbs can touch each other. This will allow you to connect the two cable ends and then push/shift the chains around so that they drape on the tire pretty evenly and the cable connection can be placed on the inner edge of the tire just above the wheel.Once that connection is made and positioned on the back of the tire, the rest of install is pretty easy (watch a video). If you have an SUV or crossover with higher suspension, these will be easy to install. Some passenger cars, maybe a little less so.I haven't run these in snow but I've previously run cables and much beefier chains than these. These Konigs are somewhere in between cables and heavy chains. Smoother ride but probably less durable than heavy chains but superior to cables for traction and durability.For us, these will only be used in very rare mid-atlantic situations where our winter snow tires aren't getting it done or maybe to get un-stuck if things get icy. These should be sufficient to get us up the driveway or through most conditions to a paved road. If you have 'all-season' tires and think you need these chains more than a couple times a season for anything other than emergencies, put the $100 for chains toward a pair of dedicated wheels with actual snow tires mounted. All-season means the tread and rubber compound are a compromise...in all seasons. All-wheel drive doesn't matter if the wheels are spinning and the tires aren't going where you're steering.

These are awesome. Easiest and smoothest chains I have ever used. Have used them a few times up to Tahoe on a 2011 Mazda 3 hatchback. If someone says they had trouble putting these on then honestly they are an idiot or they bought too small of a chain size and they won't fit anyway.Go watch the youtube video and try putting them on before you leave. So easy. Well worth paying extra instead of the those super cheap tire cables. I bought these for the easy application and figured the diamond pattern would be the smoothest. I wasn't wrong.
