Nitecore NU20 Classic

It's a great lamp. I especially like the read mode (wide angle yellow light). Having a separate button for red light is great so you don't have to cycle through all the white lights first.It's also a bit brighter than the NU25 and the usb-c is welcome.It is lighter but I notice the double band is not as comfortable as the wider band on the NU25.

Perfect in every way but one.....the strap. However a quick bit of gluing and heatshrink and you can modify the strap to be like the petal bindi. This works much better

Excellent little headteacher. Much lighter and smaller than other head torches he's with replaceable batteries. The different settings are perfect for my needs, too, including the red light. As I haven't had it for long, I don't know howlong it will last. Other head torches from other brands have lasted for years, so I expect this one will too.

Die NU25 ist meine absolute lieblings stirnlampe, nur leider etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Ich habe mich sehr über die "runderneuerte" variante gefreut und sie sofort bestellt.Die Gummischnüre statt Stirnband empfinde ich als pluspunkt, kompakter in der hosentasche, kaum komfortverlust.Leider ist das Licht recht kalt, war etwas wärmer beim vorgänger, was mir besser gefällt.Usb c und die Ladestandsanzeige sind absolut willkommene aktualisierungen/verbesserungen.Das Rotlicht ist leider nicht ganz so hell, was für mich den entscheidenden unterschied macht. Reicht leider gerade so zum direkt vor den füssen, den boden zu erkennen.Die scharniere und winkeleinstellung machen leider keinen robusten eindruck und die rasterung ist gröber als beim vorgänger. Auch insgesamt spiel in der mechanik und zu leicht gängig.Jetzt hat nitecore leider schon zum 2. Mal versagt bei der neuauflage dieser beliebten Lampe. Man hätte einfach alles gleich lassen können und nur die usb c buchse einbauen und vll das gummischnur stirnband. Aber leider wurden einige aspekte verschlimmbessert.Das ist meckern auf hohem niveau und im großen und ganzen ist es trotzdem eine sehr gute Lampe.

A headtorch must have a really low power mode. For around camp so you don't destroy night vision and light up the whole area just to check something. And for emergency use so it lasts for days. This one does and goes up plenty bright enough as well, I can't imagine why anyone would need more power for regular use or walking/running. The red strobe is better than the longer flashing on the 25, looks more like a distress beacon and battery lasts longer. Overall its the perfect combination of features, weighs nothing, use USB-C. I hope they keep making them with this low mode, there will always be a demand for this model, no need to change
